BETT 2013
JAN 30 – FEB 02 2013

From 30th January to 2nd February 2013, Hitachi Solutions Europe, Ltd., will be exhibiting at BETT 2013, the largest European trade show for educational technologies, which will be held in Excel, London. The company will be displaying its new range of interactive whiteboards and software solutions.

This year, Hitachi unveils an expanded range of interactive whiteboards, offering teachers a large choice of models. Fixed or portable, pen or finger driven, regular or widescreen – the users can choose the most suitable configuration from Hitachi’s StarBoard line of interactive whiteboards.

In continuing to develop the range of portable solutions, Hitachi will display its new StarBoard LINK EZ2-Pen unit . The StarBoard LINK EZ2-Pen can be mounted to any flat surface or a whiteboard and form an interactive area providing all features of an interactive whiteboard. The unit is delivered with 2 reflective pens allowing control of all PC’s operations directly from the interactive area. Unlike the most of interactive pens on the market, the Hitachi’s reflective pen does not contain any electronic components or batteries for a safe and affordable use. Compact and light, the StarBoard LINK EZ2-Pen can be mounted magnetically to any standard whiteboard, then moved from classroom to classroom or stored away for safekeeping.

For the customers looking for a large screen solution, Hitachi introduces the LED 65” screen. Providing with the full HD 1080p high brightness display this screen will make the lessons bright and memorable. The latest touchscreen technology is integrated into the screen enabling it to be dual touch or multi touch, including gesture control and allowing multiple users. The screen is bundled with the StarBoard Software providing the teachers with a rich pallet of lesson building tools.

As for stationary interactive whiteboards, Hitachi presents its new FX-79E1/89WE1 board with a finger-touch surface . The FX-79E1/89WE1 is lighter than the previous models and has a larger working surface making it easier for classroom groups’ activities.

In addition to the hardware solutions, Hitachi will introduce a pre-release version of its new online interactive whiteboard software – SCS version 1.0 . This web based software doesn't need any installation and offers the teachers an incredible flexibility and ease of use. It is compatible with all hardware and operating systems, including Mac, Window and Linux. It is also compatible with StarBoard Software and allows users to open, edit and save files in .yar format. The software will be available for demonstrations in “test” mode on Hitachi's stand, while the official product release and availability for the orders will be announced in February- March 2013.

All new products are available for experience and demonstration during the BETT show on the Hitachi's booth D60.
